Is this a Mozambican society for Mozambican ordinary students? I don't think so and I don’t really see it. All I see is a bunch of “mulatos” leaving at great on the expenses of poor and ordinary black Mozambicans. Hwre are the blacks in that picture of yours? I bet, in that get, u were listening 2 Angolan Kizomba. What is your sense of being Mozambicans rather than be privileged “filhinhos de papai).

Eu so posso dar uma gargalhada, alto e bom som para Sr. Kulungwane e Sr. Lhongo. Isso e que se chama nao saber o que e a Mozsoc. Para quem nao sabe, a mozsoc tenta integrar e ajudar os estudantes mocambicanos que vivem em cape town independentemente da raca. Conceito como "sense of being mozambicans" e e sempre foi praticado pela mozsoc, desde encontros musicais, a noite de poemas organizados pelas lara e ate festas onde se ouve musica de varios sitios (marrabenta e passada - Nosso!, kizomba de angola, rap e hiphop americano, etc). Pessoal que realmente conhece a mozsoc, por favor explicar a estes infelizes o que nos, mocambicanos que vivemos em cape town e pessoal da mozsoc, somos "all about". Beijinhos
Sad, really sad!! Pensava que Moçambicanos com essa linha de pensamento racista, paternalista e complexada ja não se faziam. Ou vocês já vivem à muito tempo na Africa do Sul e já adoptaram essa maneira distorcida de pensar ou então tiveram a pouca sorte de serem expostos a essa educação limitante. E se acreditam com tanta confiança nisso que dizem porque não põe os vossos verdadeiros nomes? Mudança das forças para uma mudança anónima? Que força é que um movimento covarde desses terá?
Abram a cabeça pessoas: “race” is a cultural invention; it reflects social meanings (constructed by people) imposed upon human physical variations. Yes! Coz physical variations do exist and have always existed but before the 18th century different ethnic groups traded with one another, intermarried and cultural knowledge was spread from region to region. No social importance was given to skin colour.
Then colonial leaders (more specifically the English) in face of many rebellious movements, decided it would be useful to establish a division among the masses of the poor (which consisted of people of all skin colours including white) destroying their common interest to access resources and power, and hence preventing their further collaboration against governmental authorities. DIVIDE TO CONQUER. It was their ethnocentric way to rationalize brutal treatment, conquest and slavery of other ethnic groups that they regarded as “savage”and inferior. Behold the creation of RACE. E são vocês que se dizem preocupados com os interesses da “black majority” que querem perpetuar esse conceito racista criado por aqueles proprios que vos escravizaram e colonizaram?? PLEASE!
Let’s get beyond “race” people. Despite the physical variations, we are universal human beings and each one of us is multicultural!!!
